Unfinished Orson at Bradford fest - Wish I was in the UK right now

Archives, Classes, Award Ceremonies, Festivals, etc.

Came across this accidentally while websurfing: starting March 8, the Bradford Film festival is showing portions of some of Welles' unfinished works, including a fifteen minute fragment of MERCHANT OF VENICE, TOSOTW, THE DEEP, and a 20-minute docu on IT'S ALL TRUE by Gary Graver. This is part of a festival of unfinished films. What a GREAT idea!

Agreed, mteal. Why should North America be left out, I ask? I, for one, would be more than prepared to explore ways and means of getting such an exhibit brought across the pond; in fact, would it not also be a wonderful opportunity for the Wellesnet virtual collective to rally together and make something tangible happen?

Frustrating, isn't it? That's a good idea about Wellesnet members pooling their energies together for some Welles-related cause. I doubt if we'd get very far with the unfinished films, but there are many other areas of Welles's oceanic career where we might make some kind of difference. Just pooling info here on this board is a good start.

Well, I guess Graver did two different Welles sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday. Does anybody have any further info on how it went? Doesn't seem to be much on the net in terms of reviews, although the Bradford site has a couple of good preview writeups of TOSOTW.
