Orson Welles retrospective in Edinburgh?

Not sure if there are any Wellesnet fans in or near Edinburgh (Scotland, UK) to know that the “Filmhouse” cinema will be showing the reissued Citizen Kane at the end of this month ...BUT with an interesting note in their catalogue:

"…we’ve been trying to put together a retrospective of Welles’ films (as director) and are currently wallowing in the mire of disputed rights and possible lawsuits. You screen Chimes at Midnight at your peril, apparently! See November’s programme for what we’ve been able to unearth...” (link to their October website catalogue: http://www.filmhousecinema.com/pub/files/programmes/Oct09LowRes.pdf)

I really hope they can pull this together, even just for the chance to see Welles on the big screen!

Also, if you are about in Edinburgh (just in case they put on the greatest retrospective ever and you all fly over to see it :D) pop into the Cameo cinema 'just a short walk away' to see a lovingly framed picture of Welles attending the 1953 Edinburgh Film Festival. (I’ll try an upload a low quality pic of it: http://img200.imageshack.us/i/welles1958.jpg/).

Is the November programme out yet? A quick search didn't "unearth" it.

If I recall, CHIMES was screened a few years ago at Yale, and while the requisite noises were made, the sky didn't fall in.

What's the latest on Adriana Saltzman & CHIMES?

OK, shame no rarities.... but a great chance to see Welles on the Big Screen.

http://www.filmhousecinema.com/seasons/o-for-orson/

From their catalogue: "...Othello and Chimes at Midnight have eluded us, but apart from that it’s looking pretty good... A particular highlight is Welles’ version of ‘The Scottish Play’, which will screen from a ‘restored’ print held by the UCLA Film and Television Archive, in which the original Scottish ‘brogue’ used by the actors, and subsequently removed by the studio, has been restored. Och aye, the noo...!"

The Immortal Story is missing, which is a little odd as they screened it a year ago in their Jeanne Moreau retrospective. Must be tricky to obtain...
