The famed Alamo Drafthouse Ritz in Austin will run an impressive lineup of Orson Welles films, TV projects, interviews and unfinished works for seven weeks in April and May.
The Magnificent Orson Welles series celebrates the centennial of the late filmmaker’s birth on May 6 with two dozen works ranging from Citizen Kane to F For Fake.
The film series kicks off with a recent overview of Welles’ career: Academy Award winner Chuck Workman’s Magician: The Astonishing Life and Work of Orson Welles on April 4 and concludes with a compilation of scenes from several of his unfinished movies on May 25.
