The much-anticipated The Other Side of the Wind poster for crowdfunding contributors is in production with delivery planned in the coming weeks.
The full-color poster is a perk for some of the 2,859 Indiegogo contributors who raised $406,605 in spring 2015 toward the completion of the Orson Welles movie.
The movie was completed by Netflix at a reported cost of $6 million and released worldwide by the streaming giant on November 2, 2018. The film, which had its theatrical premiere at the 75th annual Venice Film Festival, is now available to 148 million subscribers in 190 countries.
Crowdfunding donors received perks, ranging from digital copies of the completed film to tickets to various premieres.
One of the promised perks, a home video release with bonus footage, is still in the works.
The new poster artwork (seen right) and provided to Wellesnet is a departure from the black and white key art used by Netflix during the limited theatrical release last fall. It is reminiscent of the American Film Market poster that producers Filip Jan Rymsza and Frank Marshall displayed in November 2014.
A comparison of the three posters can be seen below.
