‘Hopper/Welles’ to be streamed to NYFF ticket holders

Hopper/Welles will be streamed to New York Film Festival ticket holders for its U.S. premiere at the 58th festival later this month.

Mindful of coronavirus restrictions, NYFF58 offerings this year will be shown at either drive-in movie theaters or — as in the case of Hopper/Welles  — streamed for home viewing over a secure online connection.

Hopper/Welles will be available for viewing from September 28 at 8 p.m. through October 3 at 8 p.m. (Eastern Time).

Tickets for NYFF58 screenings and rentals will go on sale to the general public on Friday, September 11.

Single tickets for Hopper/Welles are priced at $12, though bundle packages are available to check out multiple films.

The New York Film Festival is produced by Film at Lincoln Center. The purchase of NYFF58 tickets and passes benefits Film at Lincoln Center in its nonprofit mission to support the art and craft of cinema.

Comprised of previously unknown interview footage uncovered and assembled by producer Filip Jan Rymsza and editor Bob Murawski, Hopper/Welles captures a November 1970 conversation shot during The Other Side of the Wind between Orson Welles and Easy Rider director Dennis Hopper. Two cameras filmed the approximately two-and-a-half-hour conversation, which has been trimmed to 130 minutes.

Hopper/Welles is being shown this week at the Venice International Film Festival.
