Estate of Orson Welles
Wellesnet is not the legal representative of the Estate of Orson Welles, which is managed by the youngest of the filmmaker’s three daughters, Beatrice Welles.
Since Welles’ death in October 1985, his Estate has been active in numerous high-profile projects including the restoration of Othello, completion of The Other Side of Wind, Marc Cousin’s documentary The Eyes of Orson Welles and publication of Orson Welles Portfolio: Sketches and Drawings from the Welles Estate.
In 2017, it made the University of Michigan Special Collections Library in Ann Arbor the repository for a trove of Welles’ papers and unproduced works. It boasts one of the largest collections of Welles’ works in the world.
