The Hollywood Professional Association has nominated Bob Murawski and the late Orson Welles for its annual award for best editing of a feature film for their work on The Other Side of the Wind.

The 14th annual HPA Award nominees were announced today. The trade association awards recognize achievements in editing, sound, color grading, and visual effects.

The nominees for Outstanding Editing – Theatrical Feature are:  Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood — Fred Raskin, ACE; Green Book — Patrick J. Don Vito, ACE; Rolling Thunder Revue: A Bob Dylan Story by Martin Scorsese — David Tedeschi, Damian Rodriguez; The Other Side of the Wind — Orson Welles, Bob Murawski, ACE; and A Star Is Born – Jay Cassidy, ACE.

The HPA Awards will be presented on November 21 at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. During the ceremony, Oscar winning visual effect supervisor Rob Legato  (Titanic, Apollo 13) will receive the HPA Lifetime Achievement Award.

Welles and Murawski have already received editing awards from the National Association of Film Critics and the San Francisco Film Critics Circle. (Murawski, an Oscar winner for The Hurt Locker, received the first-ever Campari Passion for Film Award at the 75th annual Venice Film Festival, where The Other Side of the Wind had its premiere in August 2018.)

The Other Side of the Wind also received awards from the National Board of Review, National Society of Film Critics and Los Angeles Film Critics Association. It appeared on more than three dozen Best Films of 2018 lists.
