Welles first BBC appearance 1955

There is a website http://www.thebox.bz where one can find and download many of OW's British TV shows/documentaries and interviews. It costs nothing so long as one gives something back - the rules are self explanetary. The above mentioned is from an early BBC Panel/current affairs type show called P...

Re: Chimes at Midnight Italian Issue.

Just try going to http://www.amazon.it or click on the link above in the other post and then sign in as an existing amazon customer and pay for it your normal way(if credit card). It may be written in Italian but the boxes that one fills and/or ticks are the same. I signed in with my Amazon UK email...

Chimes at Midnight Italian Issue.

The new issue from SINISTER Films (Italy ) is available through Amazon.It. Price 11 euros 99 cents. This is the best that I have seen. It is Significently Better than the Spanish edition and the recent UK issue is junk when viewed A and B. The video is clean with great shadow and depth and excellent...

Chimes at Midnight - another new issue.

Just got a heads-up from Gary Tooze at DVD Beaver that an Italian company called Sinister Films has issued CHIMES AT MIDNIGHT special edition(so called)
with a running time of 113m(PAL) selling for 11 euros 70 cents.
I have ordered this sight unseen and will post a report as soon as it arrives.

Chimes at Midnight - New Issue

This new issue from Cornerstone Media International / Palladium Entertainment is not reccomended - DO NOT BUY IT: It is not even as good as the spanish issue. It seems to be from the spanish issue however. They have degraded the picture quality with too much noise reduction - giving it the look of a...

Re: The Stranger

Anyone thinking of buying the new Bluray of the Stranger should first look up the review of this new issue by DVD Beaver (dvdbeaver.com).It is not very flattering. Using the comparison screen captures it is obvious that anyone with the MGM DVD release of this movie need look no further. With no subs...

Re: Journey into Fear DVD Release

The Three Cases of Murder release is 1.33 - 1 . The DVD case states 1955 but the the release date on the movie´s credits is 1953 .It looks like the print source is from the US,because after the title card "London Films",there is a second title card "Janus Film".When one considers...
