There is a Ceiling Unlimited log on the site, though I haven't gotten round to adding more details to it. As to the "Rulers" episode, I haven't been able to track down the air date or exact title of this show yet. My assumption is that Welles returned to the program to guest star in this show, as I'...

That is a frequent mistake among the people selling the bulk radio shows, which probably originated before them. There are other shows from the Almanac series which are simply listed by some sellers as the Wonder Show. Odds are if they call it the Mercury Wonder Show, it's really the Orson Welles Al...

Well, if the American release matches this, it will be impressive indeed, given the film's general lower standing among Welles' films. That listing for a "radio" Macbeth is slightly off though, as it looks like they're including the Mercury records version of the play, rather than the half hour Colu...

It was a one hour dramatization of the book of the same title by Philip Wylie. The broadcast was 17 October 1956. Commissioned by the Civil Defense Administration, it was syndicated, so no specific network.

The company doing this claims to be making an entire series of these based on Mercury Theater of the Air episodes. What's the point, though? I mean, these were made as radio plays, they don't really need to be animated, do they? I'm curious to see if it's anything more than a literal animation of th...

Amazon Uk has an updated blurb for Callow's second volume, titled Orson Welles: Hello Americans . Publication date is given as May 2006 with a length of 656 pages. The blurb reads: "The reason for the decline of Orson Welles's career is a hotly debated issue, but decline it certainly did. When Citiz...

The book is printed on fairly thick paper, and it's about an inch thick, maybe? I don't recall total pages offhand, but I don't think it's more than 250 or so, and that's with both the English and French together. The script itself certainly doesn't run as long as legend indicates, though. $80 is a ...

Not sure where she ordered hers from, but I've used www.dvdgo.com without problems. They also have English interface, which is handy.

That's a good idea, and given that this thread is already so long, let's close this one down. I will keep it pinned to the main Film page so people can easily access it.

First noted by someone on the Criterion forums, there is a listing on dvdfr.com for a DVD of CHIMES AT MIDNIGHT, both as a standalone title and as part of five disc set with THE THIRD MAN and THE TRIAL, for release in France on October 3. Having heard what I've heard about the rights battle, I can't...

That episode survives; it guest-starred Burgess Meredith, and it's an excellent episode.
