Re: Reactions to 'The Other Side of the Wind'
Does anybody know the rock track played when they are in the bar in TOSOTW? "Fruit and Icebergs" by Blue Cheer, from 1969. A song (and group) I'd somehow never heard of before. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dw1PhlDGLZM I am familiar with Blue Cheer and have their Louder Than God compila...

Re: Reactions to 'The Other Side of the Wind'
I don't know if this aspect of WIND has been discussed on this forum as I'm happy to have read of someone on Facebook mentioning the care Welles took to direct the film-within-the-film. It has been written many times Welles disliked and was spoofing Michelangelo Antonioni with a passion. All of that...

Re: Criterion releases Othello on blu-ray
Curious if the silent film test footage Welles shot in 1948 to entice financing from potential producers still exists to be added to this CC edition?

Re: Indiana U. to host OW symposium next May
I still like the idea of a book published from the lectures presented at this conference as I've mentioned in my October 2014 post. I haven't come across any news of such a proposal may be possible but I thought I would plant the idea into anyone who may have the authority to pursue such a course.

Re: Young Orson by Patrick McGilligan
I haven't picked up this book as of yet but would appreciate opinions of the coverage of Welles' theatrical ventures in New York City and the contextual comparisons of Welles' vision to what was common amongst other theatre practices. Is there substantial coverage of the socio-political fervent of l...

Re: Indiana U. to host OW symposium next May
Is there a possibility of a book being published after this conference from the various film scholars' paper proposals? The reason I ask is because there was a Godard conference in Canada (2010) and a book was published of the film scholars' papers a few years later. I thought something may be consi...
