I believe that my reluctance to purchase the dvd was due to its $40 price tag. I had seen it before on a really old VHS tape, but this dvd set is excellent. F for Fake is definitely an amazing film that has so many great moments for Welles fans.

Brilliant editing and Endlessly Viewable.

In the commentary for the Squid and the Whale, Noah Baumbach talks about a moment in the original screenplay where the character of Walt does a speech at school on how The Magnificent Ambersons would have been Welles' masterpiece had the studio not cut it, even though he had never seen the movie.

Isn't Dennis Weaver perfect in this film? Or in every film he is in? Especially Duel. Do yourself a favor and sing "dreamweaver" when he appears in "Touch of Evil."
