Eureka F For Fake DVD
Try this link: http://youtube.com/watch?v=VtO-o74c3c0 The trailer looks great in color. Thanks for the link. Gotta say, as this is personally my least favorite Welles film that the trailer looks terrific. Enjoy it more than I did the movie. And a real shame on Criterion of all companies not getting...

While others may already be aware, I thought it interesting to note that on CNN, they were interviewing Larry King and he mentioned that not only did Griffen consider Welles his favorite interviewee, but they apparently had some sort of deal. Griffin wouldn't ask him about certain aspects of his car...

Welcome. Here are two threads that might be of help, though they are a couple of years old and don't touch on books that have come out in the last three or so years. On the other hand, you might be able to find some of these that interest you for bargain prices on ebay or half.com. http://wellesnet....

I've heard that as well...that Criterion isn't licensing Welles titles at this time. It is a pity. Since Welles has a canon of only 12 features, I think Eclipse would be perfect for his TV or unfinished work. Then again, if Munich ever did license the work out, as they have hoped for a while now, I...

If I may, I believe the version Hadji is talking about was found last year by a Wellesnet member in the UK and mentioned here, http://www.wellesnet.com/cgi-bin....o+again As stated, it appears to be english language of the '52 "french" edit but does not have the close-up of Desdemona's face. The on...

Ok, I'm not the smartest guy here and get easily confused by Welles edits, particularly with this film. As I now see it, - the '52 Cannes version wasn't finalized and likely does not exist anymore. - the earliest known version was shown in France in late '52. Would this be the "french version" that...

Any idea that would get the original on dvd, preferably by Criterion, would be great. But as this is the only film Beatrice actually owns, I wouldn't expect her to do it anytime soon. Pity really, she wants money, but with her cooperation she could probably get criterion to release the original '52...

I think I remember seeing one go for $100 a couple of years ago. Used to be an ebay nut, but not for a long time.... Anyway, I wouldn't bet on it. Besides, while the listing says that it hasn't been seen since the '52 Cannes festival, which the LD itself says, we've already established in a thread ...
