Re: Treasure Island

Thanks, Craig! Wish I could, but it looks like it's too far from the DC metro (i.e., Metro) area (I don't drive). I do hope you'll post about it on Wellesnet later. Sounds like fun!

Re: Treasure Island

P.S. - I'll be doing a lost MYSTERIOUS TRAVELER episode live, next month in the D.C. area.

Hi, Craig. Where exactly? I live in the area, and would love to be there.

Re: The movie within the movie- a silent film?

I've never heard that before, Le Chiffe- that "Cut" spoken by Hanneford would've ended both movies simultaneously- that's fantastic!

And, of course, it would have recalled Welles's playful command at the end of Henry Jaglom's "Someone to Love."

Re: The Iranian Connection

Following up on the July 18 interview with Noam Chomsky and his observations regarding the Washington Post's reporting vis-a-vis Iran, here's today's take from the paper: https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/iran-says-it-will-commit-to-nuclear-inspections-if-us-lifts-sanctions/2019/07/18...

Was there a link to the Richard France interview? I didn't see one (but could have just missed it). Thanks.

Re: Reactions to 'The Other Side of the Wind'

From an interview with Jean-Luc Godard’s cinematographer Fabrice Aragno in the current (January/February 2018) issue of Film Comment. Make of it what you will: Q: Could you talk a bit more about what you do with the material JLG gives you—the edit he has made with his DVCAM recorder from what he pla...

Nice "shout outs" and "standing ovations" by the host for Wellesnet, Other Wind and the two documentaries.
