This one's a little delayed but doesn't look like it ever crossed the radar here.
A year or two back I picked up, in a thrift store, a copy of Christopher Fitz-Simon's biography on Hilton Edwards and Michael MacLiammoir. Of course, I went straight to the index and read through the sections on Welles which were interesting but not extensive. Looking up the author online, I found he was giving a talk on Welles during the centenary year, though I didn't entertain any hopes of hearing it. Wonderfully, Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council libraries who hosted the event kindly made an audio recording available on Soundcloud, plaudits to them for doing so!
The talk apparently consists of material that the author uncovered when researching the book, but was secondary to his subject and not included. I listened to the recording a year or so back and had meant to publicise it here but never got round to doing so. Anyway, here's the link, I think it's well worth hearing.
