the witching/necromancy

are these 2 different movies or are they the same movie? has anyone had trouble getting the witching from amazon? i ordered it and got the witching of 2016 and necromancy is currently unavailable.

They are two different versions of the film. "Necromancy" is the version that was originally released to theaters in 1972, while "The Witching" is a version released on video in the 1980s, radically altered and with a lot of new footage, shot in the early 80s, inserted.

According to the Rotten Tomatoes page on "Necromancy", there are actually six different versions of the film:
