Postby impossiblefunky » Tue Oct 22, 2013 4:35 pm

We're working on a podcast episode for The Projection Booth about The Magnificent Ambersons. If folks have thoughts/facts they want to share beforehand, feel free to leave us a voicemail at 734 666 0800

Here are the details about the episode:

---------------------------------------------

The Projection Booth: Episode 143: The Magnificent Ambersons

Orson Welles's follow-up to Citizen Kane adapted Booth Tarkington's Pulitzer prize-winning novel about industrial progress and the loss of innocence set against a tumultuous family, the Ambersons. Welles infamously lost control of the film before its final release.

We'll examine its production, its destruction, and attempts to restore what many consider Welles's forgotten masterpiece.

Special Guests Include: Joseph McBride, William Friedkin, Christopher Welles, Jonathan Rosenbaum & Peter Bogdanovich.

Guest co-host: Roger L. Ryan

This podcast will be available starting 12/4/2013 via iTunes, Stitcher or from http://www.projection-booth.com

Thanks Mike. A fabulous program! I gobbled up the whole 4-hour and 9-minute show last night like it was a bottomless box of popcorn. Very nice contributions from Friedkin and Chris Welles Feder, and especially from Roger Ryan and Joseph McBride. Congrats on a terrific, very comprehensive program, and a terrific series as well (I've already listened to the SECRET HONOR program too, and look forward to listening to the one on EXECUTIVE ACTION soon). Keep up the great work!
