Roger Ryan's Ambersons reconstruction
Hello fellow Welles fans! I've read a lot about Roger Ryan's reconstruction of TMA on this board, and I was wondering if a digital version is available online. Failing that, does anyone know how one might obtain a copy? I've been fascinated by the film for years (who hasn't?), and I would love to see what has been done with the surviving materials.

Re: Roger Ryan's Ambersons reconstruction
Hi Roger,
I hope you don't mind me posting this to the public forum, but I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate you sending me a copy of your reconstruction. I watched it this afternoon, and I got chills during the closing narration (as well as in a few other parts!). This will definitely be my go-to version of the film. I remember my own attempts at "reconstructing" TMA, which consisted of having copies of Carringer's book and This Is Orson Welles on hand and pausing my VHS copy at the appropriate parts and reading through the cutting continuity (and even trying to rewind/fast-forward at the end in an attempt to resequence the final scenes). Your version is absolutely wonderful, and makes an already epic film into a masterpiece on a whole other level.
With much gratitude,
- Dirk

Re: Roger Ryan's Ambersons reconstruction
Hello! If it is still possible to obtain a digital copy of this reconstruction I would be eternally grateful... I'd probably burst into tears just seeing 1 still added back to the film ! Any help would be most welcomed.
