Massive 4-part podcast on "Citizen Kane", done by Steve Morris and John Roche of Cine-files, sometime in the last couple of years. It must have been done before March of 2017, because they mention that they don't think "The Other Side of the Wind" will ever be seen. Repetitive at times, but entertaining because these two guys are good talkers, enthusiastic and well-informed and they come up with some novel insights. The total length of the discussion is six-and-a-half hours!

1. 47-minute discussion of Orson Welles in general:
As the first episode in our "Month of Kane", John and Steve spend a whole episode discussing the brilliant, frustrating and endlessly fascinating, Orson Welles. From his far from humble beginnings through his triumphs on radio and Broadway to the vagabond artist he became, Orson Welles, always makes for good stories, even if you're not quite sure you can believe them.

Those guys are fans, but also subscribe to the fear of completion theory and Welles being the master of his own self destruction. They mention Welles seducing, abusing and completely destroying Rita Hayworth, as confirmed by many biographies about her. I'd never heard such a thing before, and it doesn't jive with the tender feelings Welles expressed for her until literally the day he died. Anyone read any Rita bios?

I believe that Barbara Leaming, who wrote the closest we have to an authorized biography of OW also did a bio of Rita. She's definitely fond of Welles, so I would assume that her version of the OW-RH marriage would not be overly prosecutorial.
