A brand new website -- "The Complete Orson Welles The Magnificent Ambersons" -- has not only the largest online collection of "Ambersons" stills and storyboards, but also original correspondence, studio memos, the trailer, Campbell Playhouse radio show, vintage interviews -- and the mother-loving seven-reel cutting continuity lavishly illustrated with photos!

New Ambersons site
I've got to admit, I'm surprised at the lack of response to the fantastic Ambersons website that has been posted. To me it's one of the best things I've seen re a movie, never alone of somebody I'm so interested in.

New Ambersons site
Well, I'm really taken with it and wrote a long email to Mr. Egan congratulating him on the effort.
New Ambersons site
Reminiscent of Jeff Lightfoot's gone-but-not-forgotten website, http://www.ambersons.com, the ruins of which can still be seen at Archive.org: https://web.archive.org/web/20080509190 ... m/main.htm
This new site is much more extensive then that. Here's our write up on it:

Thanks to Wellesnet, I'm slowly exploring his Magnificent Ambersons' website. At first glance, it seems quite impressive. I imagine visitors from this site, will soon enjoy it as well. Perhaps Mr. Egan, will visit the message board here and engage with other fans.

Re: New Ambersons site
That's a terrific website, and his reconstruction by the seven reels contains some great photoshopped images. In fact, I think he may have added a few more since the first time I checked out the site. Amazing that he has Tarkington's complete novel and Welles's complete shooting script as well. The correspondence section is also wonderful and contains a few memos that even I, a longtime Ambersons fanatic, don't recall seeing before. I hope the site stays intact for awhile.
