Filming Othello DVD

Postby Kane76 » Sun Feb 01, 2009 12:36 am

I just wanted to mention that a DVD of "Filming Othello" is available from http://www.raredvds4sale.co.uk/Site/Win ... etter.html.

I've used this place before, and they have a couple of other Welles items, like the AFI Welles award and the UK interview with Leslie Megahey.

They also have lots of other rare things on DVD and the quality is tolerable.

Last monday i did an email order for both Filming Othello and The RKO Story....and they just arrived, that was fast delivery from England!! I went ahead and put Filming Othello in my player and there it was playing. I checked the time and it clocks at 83 minutes and it looks like it came from a VHS tape copy beacuae the picture quality is not that great but still viewable.
Then i put in the player disc 1 of The RKO Story and this was taken from a BBC channel 4 showing. The picture quality is very good like a cable broadcast. So for $23 it was a good deal and since both are hard to get it i am very happy!
