On March 27th 1938, while in the midst of a highly successful run on Broadway of "The Shoemaker's Holiday", plus his weekly radio duties as "The Shadow", a third Welles production made it's debut: the birth of his first child, Christopher. "Christopher, she is born!", proclaimed Welles to friends and family. In recent years, Christopher has written two books about her father, as well as contributing many valuable and informative posts here at the Wellesnet message board, and some on Wellesnet Facebook as well.
