Callow has an ambivalent attitude towards Welles, but it's pretty amazing to watch him talk and talk about him for over two hours, even if some of it is inaccurate. I was especially struck by his opinion that THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WIND should have been left alone and not finished; that only Welles could have found a way to pull it all together. It will be interesting to hear how he expands on this in his upcoming 4th Welles volume. This interview seems partially like a preview of that.

"The Genius Who Failed"...is a awful title. I do not considered Orson and what he has done as failures.
