Great find, Obsessed With Orson, and welcome back to the board (it's been a while!). Lot of great programs on that list and some I hadn't even heard of. In fact, I don't think I had ever heard Welles on March of Time before, but he's definitely doing H.L. Mencken in this episode of 5/11/36:

As for the Lost Special, I couldn't get that link to play, but I'll keep trying. It's been years since I've heard it, but I remember it being a good show. I think there's a thread on it somewhere...ah yes, right here:

Update: The link listed at that thread has been changed. It's still at the same website, but with a different URL:

Sound is excellent.

Chief, see if this link works:

A Tangled Skein:

THE LOST SPECIAL is an Arthur Conan Doyle mystery - but not an adventure of Sherlock Holmes! (Though that personage does make a Hitchcock-style cameo appearance in the tale...)

That angle was presented relatively straight, in this 1943 SUSPENSE production. But way back in 1934, Holmes radio dramatist Edith Meiser had already adapted THE CASE OF THE LOST SPECIAL into a Great Detective and Good Doctor story, after she had exhausted all of Dr. Doyle's originals of that stripe.

No recording is known to exist. But I had the pleasure of playing Sherlock in a live recreation produced by Baker Street Irregular William Nadel (the executor of Meiser's estate), in a cast including Jimmy (Henry Aldrich) Lydon, Corinne (Speed Racer) Orr, veteran NBC announcer George Ansbro, Will (Sugarfoot) Hutchinson, WABC Goodguy Bill Owens, and voice actor Kevin Scullin.
