Black Museum
Re: Black Museum
It's doubtful that Welles had much artistic control over this show, although it has been said that his presence as narrator had an influence on the ways the stories were presented, with the narration weaving in and out consistently. A similar technique would later be transferred by Welles to Television for "The Fountain of Youth." Many of these Black Museum episodes do survive in very good sound too.

From OTR Facebook:
Did Towers do this with Orson for The Black Museum? Funny to imagine.
There was a radio show on last year about the work of Harry Alan Towers (the producer), he would often travel to the "star talent" and get them to record their part in the shows he made very quickly, and often in their dressing room for other productions they are working on. So I doubt Orson had the time to research the work, he more than likely dashed it off verry quickly then put the money in other projects.
