Are you doing any audio interviews to go with it this year, Craig? Enjoyed the talk you gave on Yesterday USA last yule.

My own favourite solo reading from Geoffrey Palmer hasn't made it to my usual annual rotation so far, and I have another unabridged CD set, from former Doctor Who Tom Baker, that was published the same year as your book but I haven't heard in its entirety yet either. Scroogey activity for me this December has only extended to a showing of The Muppet Christmas Carol at London's Prince Charles Cinema, which played well to an auditorium braced by lashings of complementary mulled wine!

BBC Radio are airing The Many Faces of Ebenezer Scrooge, a new documentary on our favourite miser hosted by Sir Christopher Frayling, on Christmas Eve. Our old friend Simon Callow is among the contributers. I won't hear the broadcast transmission but should get to it after boxing day.

I'll try to seek out your Quicksilver Blue Carbuncle too, my seasonal call on Mr Holmes is as overdue as my visit to Mr Scrooge! The last several years I've watched the Jeremy Brett TV episode during the holidays, I recall the Peter Cushing version of two decades earlier also being a good one when it came to DVD.

Have a cool yule!

Thanks for the kind words!

No, no new interview this Yuletide...

Scrooge-wise, Christmas Eve as I drive my Mom through the snowbound countryside of Ohio to-and-from a candlelight service, I'll do my usual dial-spinning, taking note of what CAROLs might be broadcast...

Then, I'll likely end the night with one of Lionel Barrymore's.

Merriest,
-Craig

P.S. - Would love to see the Frayling piece.
