Postby atcolomb » Sun Aug 09, 2020 10:36 am

Watching cable channel TCM i see the promos for the podcast on director Peter Bogdanovich so a few nights ago i decided to start listening to them. About to listen to Episode five and have to say an excellent series with Peter talking about his film career with host Ben Mankiewicz and his relationships with Polly Platt, Cybil Shepherd and Orson Welles. In Episodes 3 & 4 Peter talks about his time with Orson and him living in his house with Cybil and in Episode 5 which i will listen to soon the break in the relationship with both Orson & Cybil.

Thanks, atcolomb. I listened to the whole series on Youtube the last two nights; very good, and a good companion piece to the Polly Platt podcast series also available now online. The two series overlap quite a few times in an interesting "He said, She said", kind of way. Ben Mankiewicz, though he takes a few annoying and gratuitous jabs at Welles here and there, does a commendable job of interviewing Bogdanovich and getting him to open up about the main controversies of his career. Well worth listening to.

I did finish listening to all of it and it was well made and listening to Peter's voice talking about his film career and private life. I did like Peter talking about Saint Jack and They All Laughed which is his favorite film and have to say both films i like.
