Tony, "Bill Bones" sounds like Ray Collins, to me; and "Blind Pew," Eustace Wyatt.

Hadji, years back, had the Captain wrong, I believe; just about sure that's George Coulouris.

And yes, my dear friend Arthur Anderson is excellent as "Young Jim."

Craig, I believe Coulouris is Captain Smollet who also doubles as the revenue officer. Alland and Richard Wilson are also listed in one source but their characters are not

Treasure Island (1 July 1938)

Postby Wellesnet » Wed Jul 31, 2019 8:04 am

Following up on their excellent performances of "War of the Worlds" and "The Magnificent Ambersons", RG Enterprises, from Welles's hometown of Kenosha WI, performs another of his radio plays, "Treasure Island" this Saturday:
https://www.facebook.com/events/382122559177187/

"The swashbuckling adventure, Treasure Island, will set sail on the Hispaniola at the Kenosha History Center on Saturday, August 3. Performed to coincide with the Kenosha Tall Ships Festival, RG Productions brings this classic radio version, adapted by Kenosha native Orson Welles and his Mercury Theater, to life with all its glorious adventure and danger. “Our cast is most excited to bring their inner pirates to life,” says show director Nita Hunter. “We’ve got kids, pirates, treasure, maps, and the real deal right across the harbor. It’s going to be spectacular.”

RG Productions, a local radio theatre troupe, was asked by the City of Kenosha to perform an event to coincide with the Tall Ships Festival and Robert Louis Stevenson’s beloved novel, Treasure Island, is a natural fit. In addition, the troupe enjoys performing at the Kenosha History Center because their missions are the same, to keep the history of Kenosha alive and relevant today.

The performance, free and open to the public, is at 2 pm on Saturday, August 3 at the Kenosha History Center, 220 51st Pl, Kenosha. Guests are encouraged to arrive by 1:30 pm to secure a seat.

Concessions will be available for purchase during the show."

Break one, folks!

It's a great script - just trust it.

P.S. - I'll be doing a lost MYSTERIOUS TRAVELER episode live, next month in the D.C. area.

Thanks, Craig! Wish I could, but it looks like it's too far from the DC metro (i.e., Metro) area (I don't drive). I do hope you'll post about it on Wellesnet later. Sounds like fun!
