Welles and the INNER SANCTUM

Postby Wellesnet » Thu Jan 29, 2015 11:20 pm

On 27 November 1943, Orson Welles first appeared on the CBS-Radio horror show, "Inner Sanctum."

The Archive site at
https://archive.org/details/OTRR_Inner_ ... es_Singles
has 149 Inner Sanctum episodes. It says 'Out of more than 500 programs broadcast, only about 200 remain in circulation, sometimes minus dates or titles."

Hopefully I'm wrong, but I think Welles's three appearances, "Death Tickles the Keys", "The Dream", and "The Lonely Heart Killer", are among the missing.

Here a complete log of shows:

Checked with my friend, esteemed radio drama researcher Martin Grams, Jr., author of "Inner Sanctum Mysteries: Behind the Creaking Door." Alas, these eps. are indeed among the missing.

Too bad. Thanks, Craig.
