Via Old Time Radio Researchers.
Hal Styles of KMDR interviews Orson Welles and Rita Hayworth on the day of their marriage (9/7/1943) at the Mercury Wonder Show.

I was amazed to see Gus Schilling appear as a younger version of Edward Everett Horton type in the Astaire/Rita YOU WERE NEVER LOVELIER (1942) moving from the drug store into high society. I wonder if he acted as match-maker for Orson and Rita?

With the likes of Rita, Marlene, Delores, Lena, Paola and Oja (among others) in his history, I don't think that our boy Orson needed any wingmen!

One can always imagine he visited Gus on set and he introduced them
