Our boy gets a nice retrospective with big screen showings of the Welles' classics all next week in Santa Monica in a program entitled Rogue Genius.

Five Welles films (in 35mm prints) are playing in Cleveland, starting last Sunday with Citizen Kane, and continuing tomorrow with The Magnificent Ambersons:

Orson Welles was born on May 6th, 1915. We couldn't call ourselves a cinema if we didn't celebrate that. So on Wed., May 6th we're having a 100th birthday party for Mr. Welles. We'll have birthday cake, comments by Bob Hoover (Welles-enthusiast and long-time book editor/film reviewer for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette), and a special 35mm screening of Welles' masterpiece CITIZEN KANE. Tickets are now on sale now. We hope you'll join us!
