A friend in the UK sent me a review of Peter Conrad's recently published book, ORSON WELLES: The Stories of his Life.[I] The review, which appeared in the London Sunday Times, is essentially positive, and the book, which explores "the various myths, plots and archetypes to which Welles was repeatedly drawn" sounds intriguing. Have any of you read this book and, if so, would you recommend it? How does it add to one's understanding of Welles's individual films as well as his work as a whole?
