This release would be the perfect place to house a bonus dvd featuring Orson Welles' Sketchbook! Either way it looks like a book worth picking up.

Thanks, Ray. Looks like a great book.

That painting of Quixote and Panza that you included a picture of, shows Quixote's head backgrounded by the sun, a visual touch Welles used for camp effect in at least a couple of movies, including Ambersons (when George visits Mrs. Johnson), and Arkadin's dinner with Baroness Nagel. Almost like a kind of exaggerated crown. Looking forward to seeing if there might be any other visual patterns and motifs discernable in the book's other pictures.

Nice review by Film School Rejects:
https://filmschoolrejects.com/the-other ... P1MYSkZkAc

"Citizen Kane. Touch of Evil. The Trial. Chimes At Midnight. I could go on. These are just a few examples of the masterworks that contributed to writer, actor, and director Orson Welles’ immortal legacy. You know all about his movies, though. What you may not be so familiar with is the legendary filmmaker’s most underappreciated talent: art.

Titan Books’ new release Orson Welles Portfolio: Sketches and Drawings from the Welles Estate looks at this side of the icon. Written by Simon Braund, the thoroughly-researched and visually stunning tome takes us on a tour through Welles’ life and career, showcasing the art that he created along the way."
