Thanks for this item Ray and your excellent interview. Coincidentally, I watched Joe's ESCAPE (1948) a few days ago. A Fox production based on a John Galsworthy novel with Rex Harrison, Peggy Cummings, and the first two DR. WHOs in separate scenes. In 1974 on the Gravesend to London train I sat next to somebody who worked on CLEOPATRA. She mentioned it as a production that went out of control, wasting money but had nothing bad to say about its director.
