Can anyone tell me if Welles' forward to Marion Davies' book, The Times We Had, is available anywhere else than in this book? I'm not really interested in getting the Davies' book and was wondering if it appears in some other Welles' anthology.

Believe it or not, I tried to copy it out of an edition at my local library and someone had very carefully cut the Welles' forward out of the book!!! Insane fandom, or some misguided censorship perhaps? If its not available anywhere online I'll keep searching the librarys.

Thanks, Tim

You can get "Times" from amazon.com for as little as $1.10, so it wouldn't be a huge investment to buy the book...

No Fake: My problem is real estate. The last thing I need is another bunk biography eating up bookshelf space. I was just interested in the Welles' piece for my files. But I suppose I could buy the book off of ebay, copy the pages and release it into the wild. Thanks for the heads-up nonetheless. Tim

Tim: I understand completely. I have scores of luscious books (can you tell I'm a bibliophile? :D) and film journals stacked on my shelves, and in my carryall, on my end-table, on my nightstand... But still, for $1.10, it's (imho) a worthy addition. And price-wise, I don't think you could do better even on eBay.
