Did anybody catch The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episode last night? It featured one story about the town of Springfield circa 1938 in a state of panic after hearing the War of the Worlds radio broadcast. It’s a ridiculous story, but it features Orson quite heavily. Some pretty funny stuff with Orson in the studio tormenting the sound effects guy. I missed who did his voice in the credits (Maurice LaMarche) . It was nice to see young Orson in yellow. Definitely worth checking out.

Yes, LaMarche was the voice behind "The Brain" from the "Pinky & The Brain" cartoon series. The mouse character was clearly inspired by Welles (even drawn to look like him) and one episode parodied the famous "frozen peas" voice-over session (available on Youtube; there's a direct link on one of the threads).
Thanks O'Hara for providing the "Simpsons" link. I could have kicked myself when I realized I forgot to watch the original broadcast.
