Orson on Dick Cavett in UK (1974?)

Wonderful interview with OW talking about painting in Ireland, his father's hotel in Grand Detour, Illinois., the Todd School for Boys and more. (Thanks to Seth Alexander Thévoz). Welles mentions that the Madrid fire that destroyed his belongings happened four years prior, so that would put this interview at about 1974 or so.:

Interesting show, although a bit awkward at times. Someone informed me recently that Welles' four appearances on Cavett were:

5/14/1970: Orson Welles, Jack Lemmon

7/27/1970: Orson Welles

9/14/1970: Orson Welles

1/25/1973: Orson Welles

I think the July 27 70 and 1973 shows are what's on Youtube at the moment. This must be the 1973 show, done around the time Welles was working on F FOR FAKE.

At about the 22:40 mark, Welles and Cavett start a discussion on suicide, and Welles makes one of the most curious statements I've ever heard from him:
I'm very impatient with suicide, except for the good reasons, and I think there are good reasons for suicide, (such as) an illness that will cost your family everything they have. I have really religious objections to suicide because you're tired of life. I don't think we own our own life. I'm not a stoic. I don't think we have a right to do away with ourselves just because we're not interested. I have a deep-seated objection to suicide as such, but I think if you have a disease which is going to ruin your family, then suicide is mandatory, because you can't trust the doctors at the hospitals; they're going to keep you alive as long as there is any money in the bank.
