If anyone uses Amazon Prime (formerly Lovefilm, Amazon's streaming service), Treasure Island is on there, as are a few of his other films. Sadly, there is currently zip, zilch and nada Orson Welles on Netflix, at least in the UK. :(

Has anyone been desparate enough to try the Finnish Blu Ray sold as an import on Amazon uk. The blu ray has possibly the worst picture quality I've ever seen. Constantly flickering and jumping, what the heck is going on here. Just need people to realise how awful this is... What a disappointment. ALSO I'm like 30 minutes in and its 100% tedious so far... Where the heck is Welles?

Ha, what a dreadful boring film. Slightly better news I guess is that the DVD plays fine, with no skips and jumps. What a shameful blu ray transfer.

The FB site "Talking Pictures" devoted to a cable station that runs classic films has a thread on Verity Lambert employing Orson to shoot a sea narrative then being disappointed with the results. This evoked a particular thought. Orson could have made a great DR. WHO in the 60s. After all, he did play The Shadow on radio and his distinctive voice would have been a perfect match to Dalek enunciation! :D
