Now we can enjoy Welles' scenes with Hilton in widescreen. Welles admitted to directing his scenes, didn't he?

Nice find, Terry. Now I may have to redo my 55-minute abridgement of it!

Were Edwards and Welles ever together in the same shot? It looks liked everything was doubled.

I agree, looks like doubles, and I couldn't find any shot where they were clearly together. It's an enjoyable scene, though, and I think it's the only time Welles and Edwards ever shared a scene on film, except for OTHELLO. A few of Welles's drunken facial expressions reminded me a bit of John Belushi.

One non-Welles scene I like is the introduction of Goliath in the cave. Nice atmosphere, and Goliath first appearing as a shadow on the wall looks like something Welles might have done. Love that burning squid in the feast sequence too. As I mentioned above, I think about 55 minutes of this - or a little over half - is worth watching.
