Idea: A Compilation of Welles' Acting Cameos

Postby Sir Bygber Brown » Tue Apr 28, 2015 12:56 am

So, every time I get back into Welles I find the desire to see all of his little acting parts, but many of them are only a minute or less screen time, so the payoff seems small... Has anyone created a compilation of all of these small acting parts, if not I think it would be an awesome way to consume some Welles to accompany all of his directorial works.
You may remember me from such sites as imdb, amazon and criterionforum as Ben Cheshire.

I don't know if such a compilation would make much sense, but it might be fun to watch. Here are some of Welles's apearances in film that could be considered cameos or extended cameos:

FOLLOW THE BOYS (himself)
ROYAL AFFAIRS OF VERSAILLES (Ben Franklin)
MOBY DICK (Father Maple)
MARCO THE MAGNIFICENT (Marco's tutor)
NAPOLEON (Napoleon's jailer Hudson Lowe)
THE ROOTS OF HEAVEN (Cy Sedgewick)
THE BATTLE OF AUSTERLITZ (Robert Fulton)
A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS (Cardinal Wolsey)
THE SAILOR FROM GIBRALTOR (Louis de Mozambique)
OEDIPUS THE KING (Tiresias the prophet)
MALPERTUIS (Uncle Cassavius)
12 PLUS 1 (Theatre director)
VOYAGE OF THE DAMNED (Jose Estedes)
THE MUPPET MOVIE (Lew Lord)
WHERE IS PARSIFAL? (Klingsor the 19th)
