That's 10 of them - if I left out a good one, speakest thou up!
Hmmm. Which will I vote for? This is tough - I may wait a few days and brood over it.
Welles' best performance as hired actor... - was in which film?
As it happens, I scored a Raven video, so I'm finally getting a decent viewing of Treasure Island, and I give a thumbs up to Welles' er... dynamically nuanced vocal performance and acting.
...and blest are those whose blood and judgment are so well commingled, that they are not a pipe for fortune's finger to sound what stop she please. Give me that man that is not passion's slave, and I will wear him in my heart's core...

I've seen many of these, but not all. From the movie selection that I have seen, I chose The Third Man. Though the role was not large for Welles here, it was very effective in the film, bringing across the point well. The speech on the Ferris Wheel and continued at the end of the ride by Welles (Which he scripted himself) is one of the greats in film history.
