Return to Glennescaul - how involved was Welles? - And is it any good?

The whole intro fishing trip bit strikes me as a Wellesian humor thing, even the writing. - The Romans civilized all of Europe but never even set foot in Scotland...

The bridge bombing scene is a superbly Wellesian little 10-minute sequence. A great wide angle upshot deep focus scene with Welles walking down the stairs of his castle just prior to that - the last 25 minutes are very Wellesian for the most part, it would appear. Welles seems to Wellesify his character ... Darby O'Gillkadin... Interesting though to see Welles' play his sacred beast character in a lighter vein...
