William Alland piece on MST3K set
While certainly not a reason to buy the set unless you already are into Mystery Science Theater 3000, the most reason box set of films (Vol. 26) includes a bonus feature ("Chasing Rosebud: The Cinematic Life of William Alland") looking at the career of Mercury Theater member William Alland, who, after his Mercury days were over, went into producing various sci-fi pictures for Universal, including Creature From the Black Lagoon and Tarantula. His production The Deadly Mantis is one of the episodes included in this set.

That's cool. Hopefully they'll give some attention to THIS ISLAND EARTH, one of my all-time favorite guilty pleasures.
