i taped this a few days ago, well worth watching. some very distinguished speakers, as well as oliver stone giving the anti-ford, anti-war view. all very good.

here is an interesting bit from the JOHN FORD GOES TO WAR documentary. DECEMBER 7th was origionally directed by greg toland, he wanted to be a director. the film was a mess. it was too long, parts of it didn't make any sense. ford was hired to fix it. he didn't like the way it ended up, but he did the best he could with what he had.

the long version of DECEMBER 7th might be available on the DVD. in the documentary, the clips of toland's film were labeled, "the long version."

it seems toland couldn't direct his way out of a paper bag.

it would seen this explodes the balloon of those that credit toland for KANE, doesn't it?

TCM also showed, STORIES FROM A LIFE IN FILM, WITH WOODY ALLEN. pretty darn good documentary, and a catchy title. wonder where they got it?

yeap, looks like it's in PEARL HARBOR; COMEMORATIVE EDITION, a 2 disc set.
