Sorry to introduce a topic unrelated to Orson Welles, but reading this article about Paul Shrader's upcoming film, I thought about The Other Side of The Wind:
- The once prominent director having to secretly shot in a famous place (the studio lot in TOSOTW & Santa Monica Mall in the upcoming film)
- The use of low cost celebraties
- The skeletal crew

Re: Paul Shrader Shoot reminiscent of TOSOTW
Thanks Nepenthe, good story. Schrader sounds like he deserves a medal for his dealing with Lindsay Lohan, but then, Orson Welles was prone to give directors a lot of similar grief on movie sets as well. In fact, Lohan's career trajectory reminds me a bit of Welles's: a wunderkind who started out at the top, and has been working her way down ever since.
