Watched my DVD of Stone's "Extended Director's Cut". It still holds up as a great movie, although I prefer the shorter, more focused theatrical version. One thing I had never noticed before was that the Executive Producer of JFK was Arnon Milchan, who tried to help Welles get THE BIG BRASS RING off the ground, and who also recently admitted to being an Israeli double agent in the 1970's.

Israeli born producer Arnon Milchan, who could pick up an Academy Award for "12 Years a Slave," delivered an acting performance for the ages by secretly procuring arms and scientific advisers for the Israeli government and helping promote the country's fledgling nuclear program in the 1970s .

Interesting that Milchan produced two more Oliver Stone films, but stopped working with him after NATURAL BORN KILLERS.

Oliver Stone recently invoked Orson Welles in criticizing Obama's Syria policy:
