You have to read the timeline at the back of This is Orson Welles and use your best judgment. Each stage of FFF's life cycle is listed.
I'd copy it out for you but I seem to have misplaced it. For the sake of list-making I "date" it to 1975. But you could go as early as 1973. Mike D'Angelo (who's anal about this kind of shit) puts it at 1974. Of course, so does Maltin, so go figure.
D'Angelo tracks mentions of his name across all dimensions of electronic communication throughout the known universe, so thanks to his the previous para, I think we can count on him dropping in to respond in 5, 4, 3, 2............
