There is something sweet about a Pittsburgh movie theater’s plan to mark the 100th anniversary of Orson Welles’ birth next month.
The Hollywood Theater on Potomac Avenue will serve up birthday cake before a screening of Welles’ landmark film Citizen Kane on May 6 at 7 p.m.
Bob Hoover, the former book editor of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, will be on hand to discuss Welles’ career before the showing of a 35mm print of Citzen Kane.
Doors open at 7 p.m. for birthday cake, with comments at 7:30 p.m. and the film directly after.
