DVD Beaver just posted links to buy from Amazon France Macbeth & Othello together on blu-ray and it looks like there are 4 discs and will be on sale on November 4th. You can also buy both movies seperatly too.

I believe it is the restoration of the 1992 restoration!*
*Essentially a remastering. I have no idea if any additional tweaking has been done in regards to digital clean-up or to improve its soundtrack.

I'm really excited for this release. Hopefully it looks even better than the Olive BD here stateside. That being said, I'm more interested in Othello. I missed my local screening and really want to see how this gem looks restored in HD.

With TOSOFTW getting finished could I be so greedy as to hope for a restored Othello released on R1?

Dark Horse, It is in the works. Westchester Films, which was handling it for the Estate, was acquired two months ago by Shout! Factory. The WF folks handling Othello are now at Shout! Factory. You can read about the acquisition at http://www.wellesnet.com/?p=10624

Here's something that might make a good extra on a Carlotta Bluray of "Macbeth":

The entire 34-minute program of "Power and Corruption" can bought from the Pheonix Learning Group's website:
