That interview is from "This Is Orson Welles." The description in the article seems more than a tad melodramatic. (There is no actual indication that Bogdanovich was "astonished" or that he "gasped."). And Welles' reference to "Pierre De Bogdanovich" is good-natured teasing -- invoking Bogdanovich's ambition to be a serious film scholar akin to those at Cahiers Du Cinema and the like. Bogdanovich surely did not take offense.

Also, this interview was from the late 60s or early 70s. (I don't have book in front of me right now to confirm the date of that particular interview). There were many highs and lows in the Welles-Bogdanovich friendship in the years that followed. If Bogdanovich has any secret resentments (which I doubt he does), those resentments would be about those later issues and not this friendly interview.
