TCM press kit for CITIZEN KANE. In 1991.
So as I presume Joe did not get this deluxe press kit, from TCM. I wonder why? Joe was almost like a Hollywood Toad. How could you write for Variety, and not be suspect? Joe McBride could have been the new Charles Champlin. I guess he finally realized he had to leave Los Angeles.

Now he is reduced to writing for Wellesnet.

How low he has fallen. He can't even be published in FILM COMMENT. Which is so sad.
Joe, I feel so sorry for you because, as you know Gary and Oja woud not like what you have done for ORSON.

And as you may or may not know, Stefan and Oja in Munich, do not think much of your ideas. Thankfully almost none of them were used in THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WIND. Stefan, he does not agree with anything you say. He told me that. Way back when. He thought everything you did about Welles was wrong. Now, i must say, I have to agree. What are you talking about? Welles wrote much of KANE... we all know that. You don't like MANK? Fine. But to say it is a crazy movie, because it does not live up to your version of WELLES? You must be insane? Go direct your own version of MANK. What would you come up with? Welles wrote the whole thing?
